Millions of people both in Australia and around the world rely on natural gas from Australia.

Our abundant natural gas reserves are helping to increase jobs and generate billions of dollars of taxes and royalties helping governments fund better schools, healthcare and infrastructure.

Western Australia has the energy

Meeting the world’s energy needs, helping build a stronger economy and supporting jobs – Australia has the energy to do that.

Queensland has the energy

Additionally, the sector is forecast to contribute an additional $6.6 billion in royalties to the state government between now and 2028.*

At the same time, Queensland’s natural gas industry supports thousands of businesses in Queensland – spending $3.9 billion supporting 2,900 businesses in 2022-23 alone.**
